We are super psyched about finishing up the material we've been working on. We are not yet sure if it will be a series of singles, an EP, full-length, or some combination; but, we are sure it is going to be spectacular and worth the wait.

Meanwhile, some of you have asked why we don't have anything up on iTunes, Spotify, etc. Well, we did have an album of early material, a live in-studio EP, a remix record and two other EPs available through those outlets once upon a time. But, for reasons too complicated to explain, all early "The Veda Rays" material went away. (Although the very first album is still available here on the site, at the 'store' tab.)

Richard Thomas is now our bassist and we are really thrilled to have him aboard. Formerly of Cave Days, Richard is a committed and hard-working player. We've had some very talented people pass through our ranks, and we are forever grateful to friends who enabled us to exist as a live band, but we have struggled to find the right permanent line-up for some time. 2015 is at last seeing us arrive as a fully concentrated force. The stars have aligned, and we now have the requisite zodiacal attributes for a legitimate group (read Supernatural Strategies for Making a Rock 'n' Roll Group by Ian Svenonius if you're not sure what we mean). The gods have smiled upon us and we are ready to raise a storm in heaven. The Veda Rays are dead; long live Veda Rays!

Maria Joanna Bohemia debuted as our new keyboardist at the Noise Love Xmas party show we played the other Friday at Kings County. We have a lot in store and are all looking forward with great excitement to 2015.

We recently bid farewell to our good pal James Dempsey (in an official "band" capacity, that is...) His last show with us as our temporary keyboardist was just the other Sunday at Nola, Darling for the Air Balloon Tapes/ Slackgaze split cassette release.

We've changed things around a bit as we are updating the site and such. Stay tuned for an exciting year ahead! Gonna be sharing more demos & working versions leading up to the real thing which will drop sometime in 2015, late spring we are guessing. We'll also be clearing the queue and making some more of the previous material available, so, look out for that!
